- Promote coordination and interaction of health promotion and education programs.
- Provide a forum for the exchange of professional health information.
- Further communication and cooperation among health professionals and organizations in health and related areas.
- Develop awareness of the importance of health promotion and education in the prevention and alleviation of societal problems.
- Encourage the development of effective educational programs designed to prepare qualified health education professionals.
- Unify support for quality health education programs in school, community, medical care and worksite settings.
- Promote the acceptance of health education as an integral part of the medical care delivery system.
